Vivines's Kitchen, Great Grand Cayman Food
Vivines's Kitchen was the first local restaurant where I had cassava heavy cake. It was delicious. The Caribbean cuisine at this Cayman restaurant consists of fish, conch, various jerks (chicken, pork, etc.), as well as rice and beans. A Restaurant review would have to mention the friendly staff and prompt service.
This is the perfect restaurant to stop and experience great Grand Cayman food. It's not far from the West End attractions such as the Blow Holes and The Wreck of the Ten Sails. In addition, it has a fantastic view of the ocean.

This Cayman restaurant has an wonderful Caymanian dessert, Cassava Heavy Cake. My husband I ordered this cake and it turned out to be a wonderful treat. It is pretty dense,and so you should be hungry when you order this cake. Also, it has an interesting texture. I think this comes from the cassava.
Vivines's Seating Area
The food here is also good, they have the typical Caribbean cuisine you'd expect for a Kitchen. I had the fried chicken and it was good, but I still think the best I've had has been at the Bay Restaurant. However, the thing I found the best was the view of the ocean while you are eating. It was fantastic to sit outside with the ocean breezes while enjoying great food. I somehow imagine that that is how Caymanian food is meant to be enjoyed -- out in the open and next to the ocean.
