Governor's beach, located just behind the Governor's house, is on Seven Mile Beach. This Grand Cayman beach is shady with lots of white sand and cool blue water. This beach is also used by tourist boats for Cayman Islands fishing and Grand Cayman scuba diving.
The Beach Toward West Bay
Several months ago we encountered a little play group with maybe ten or so kids. They were all close to my daughter's age. As soon as we stepped out of the car, her eyes were glued. It seems a group of parents had gotten together, and brought the best beach toys for all the kids to play with. They had little plastic tables designed for sand and water, all sorts of trucks and cars, beach balls, and much more. Before long, my daughter found her way over to the group and joined in on the activities.
The Beach Toward George Town
Several times we've been to this beach and found other little children romping around and having a great time. This beach seems to attract families. When we are not in the water and not playing with other children, we relax under a shady tree with some food and a good book. This is the main reason we like this beach so much.
The only downside to this beach is the only toilet is a port-o-potty. It's not in the best of shape. However, there are several restaurants nearby. We used to go to Eats Cafe (down the street) for some food and a bathroom break.
