Corners Restaurant has some of the best Jamaican food on the Island. This restaurant is a bustling eatery during the lunch hour. It seems everyone goes there for there for lunch. A restaurant review would have to include the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Just Before the Lunch Rush
Restaurant Review
For fantastic Caribbean cuisine, it's hard to beat Corners. My husband and I went there for an early lunch. We had the Mannish Water (aka Goathead Soup), and it was quite tasty. It has bits of goat as well as some sort of dumpling.
Something else I had was the Milk Carrot Juice. This is carrot juice with condensed milk. I was a bit sceptical before I tasted it, but my husband insisted. I really liked it. I normally prefer the carrot juice with ginger, but condensed milk was actually better. This is a drink that shouldn't be missed
My husband works downtown, and he eats there several times a month. He says this is definitely one of the better Jamaican restaurants. Other menu items include chicken (fried, roasted, and barbecued), roast beef, pepper steak, oxtail, steamed fish, and curried goat. My husband also recommends the oxtail.
