Cemetery Beach is a beautiful and quiet Grand Cayman beach that mostly the locals know about. Two activities that you can enjoy on this beach are swimming and snorkeling. Located on Seven Mile Beach, this beach used to be fairly close to our home, and we used to go here for a peaceful family swim.
The Beach Toward West Bay
This beach is mostly a neighborhood beach. There are some tourists, but most people on the beach live in nearby. As you may have guessed, this beach is just behind a Cemetery. In fact, if you walk to the beach from the road, you must pass the cemetery to get to the beach. Another thing to keep in mind is that there are no amenities. Basically, people walk over or take a short drive from their homes.
All things considered, this beach is absolutely beautiful. The sand is white, the water is clear, and there is lots of shade when you decide to take snooze. I've been there with my family for a relaxing afternoon, and we haven't been disappointed.
My Daughter Toddling Along the Beach
There's quite a bit of snorkeling on this beach. Almost every time I go to the beach someone somewhere has their snorkel gear on, and they are paddling around having fun. My husband and I have done a little snorkeling on other beaches here on the Island, but you really need to go further out to see more interesting fish.
One of the nice things about this beach is the view up and down the beach. As you look toward West Bay, you can see some wonderful homes built right next to the water. You can also walk along the beach toward West Bay and get an even better look. When you look on the beach toward George Town, you can see more beautiful pristine beaches that are carefully maintained by the various resorts along Seven Mile.
