Cayman Airways is a wonderful way to travel to some of the neighboring islands. This local air carrier flies out of Owen Roberts International Airport, the largest airport in Grand Cayman. If you are visiting for a week or more, I would highly recommend taking a little excursion to the sister islands, Cayman Brac or Little Cayman. If you have even more time, schedule in a vacation in Cuba; it's an experience you won't want to miss.
Cayman Airways - View of Grand Cayman
The nice thing about Cayman's local airline is they frequently have specials to neighboring islands. These specials usually include airfare, hotel stay, and a few activities on the island. For example, a special to Jamaica for a great weekend get away includes:
Vintage Cars in Cuba
This air carrier also travels to Cuba and Honduras. It's quite common to take a vacation to Grand Cayman, and then have a little excursion in Havana to experience the people and well as view the old builds and classic cars. Cuba is a special island because it has been cut off from the rest of the world, and yet they maintain their vintage cars and restoring their colonial buildings. Holidays in Cuba will allow you to relax by the pool at a resort, tour old Havana, or go scuba diving in Cuba.
Honduras is a republic in Central America. It has outer islands called the Bay Islands that include Roatan, Utila, and Guanaja. The Roatan Bay Island has a strong connection to the Cayman Islands. There are many Caymanians living there, and as a result English is widely spoken even though Honduras is a Spanish speaking country. This air carrier flies into La Ceiba, a city on the east coast of Honduras. La Ceiba is known for the annual "Friendship Carnival." People from all over the world fly in just for this event.
