The theme of your Caribbean cruise boat will have a dramatic effect on your vacation. Some themes emphasise Las Vegas style entertainment, others are focused on children, and still others are geared for nature or scuba diving. There are cruises that emphasise rest and relaxation by including several days at sea, and there are others that emphasize exploring a destination. Cruises to the Caribbean offer so many options you may have trouble deciding which to take.
Before you set sail, take some time to choose the right Caribbean cruise for you and your family. Years ago I took cruise to the Bahamas with my sister. I really enjoyed spending time with her, but I did not enjoy the cruise as much. The main problem was that I just wasn't prepared. I didn't take the time to look into what the cruise had to offer; instead we simply chose the cheapest boat we could find. Mistake! I was miserable. We ended up on a ship whose theme must have been Las Vegas. I saw a lot of drunken behaviour and gambling, and unfortunately, I just wasn't prepared. I expected something else, so I found myself having to change positions a lot to avoid inebriated people or loud screaming and shouting from the casinos. This all could have been avoided if my sister and I had take the time to investigate which cruise would suite us best.

Later, my sister took a cruise to Alaska. The cruise had a theme (how to build a business) and she loved it. She really liked being with people who were interested in the same things she was interested in. She loved the lectures and the business oriented ship's activities. Even dinner with people she hardly knew, turned out to be an unexpected pleasure.
