What are some good activities for children?
I tend to prefer nature activities for children so I would recommend the Blow Holes and the Wreck of the Ten Sails.
If you're into swimming there are several great beaches. The Rum Point beach is great because it's shallow and warm. Also, if you are there during the week, it's not too crowded. I also really enjoy Smith Cove. This beach has the BEST Grand Cayman snorkeling close to shore on the entire island. I have seen some of the most amazing fish. I once even saw a family of squid, all lined up, and filtering nutrients out of the water. It was an amazing sight.
If you are going to be in George Town, I would recommend the Atlantis Submarine or the Pirate Ship for a water excursion. Otherwise, if you are interested in something more educational you could visit the National Museum or National Gallery.
What's your favorite thing to do in Grand Cayman?
My family really likes the water. Several days out of the week you'll find us at the beach. The excursion we've done the most is Stingray City. Whenever relatives come to visit we always take them there. We like the shallow water at stingray city, and we like the nearby reefs for snorkeling.

If you have children, I would recommend looking at the answers to the first question about activities. If you are interested in diving I would recommend arranging an excursion through your hotel out to the best diving spots. The Cayman Islands diving is world renowned. Many hotels along Seven Mile beach can make arrangements for their guests to dive. I personally know of the Comfort Suites and the Marriot Hotel that have diving tours.
