Oct 14, Caribbean Dive Vacations: Interview with Dianne Rein, Co-Owner of Scuba-Diving-Smiles.com

Caribbean dive vacations are some of the most fun and adventurous holidays in the world. I think its a combination of sunny skies over clear blue waters, great diversity of marine life, and interesting coral formations. Dianne Rein maintains a wonderful website called Scuba Diving Smiles. When I came across her website I was immediately struck by the number of diving locations she had reviewed. I was fascinated because I wondered what sort of lifestyle she had that allowed her to travel so much.

Sep 19, Cayman Islands Scuba Diving: Interview with Jason Eastman

Cayman Islands scuba diving is world renowned. Divers from all over the world come here to experience the clear waters and diverse marine life. I talked to one of Cayman's most experienced divers, Jason Eastman, about scuba diving in Grand Cayman. Although, Jason works as an IT Professional now, he started his career very differently. He has been diving since he was 17 years old, and he has his PADI Divemaster Certification. He became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor as well as a Photographer Instructor. He won first place in 'Best Open Digital Image' in the OzTek 2005 photo competition.

Scuba diving Grand Cayman will be one of the best vacations you have ever had. Cayman Islands scuba diving has world class diving spots -- people from all over the world come here just to go scuba diving. Cayman dive vacations include tons of fish and coral, features like a 6000 ft wall and underwater caverns, as well as quite a few sunken ships. If you have some time, diving Little Cayman and Cayman Brac will include even more amazing underwater features -- some say the sister islands have the best diving in Cayman.

These islands are are about 150 miles south of Cuba and about 180 miles northwest of Jamaica. A Cayman Islands map will show Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, and Cayman Brac. The capital is George Town which is in southwest Grand Cayman. Grand Cayman is about 22 miles long and its highest point is 60 ft above sea level. The population is about 57,000 people, and about 32,000 people are Caymanians (2008).

Sep 4, Destination Wedding Packages for the Cayman Islands, Cruise Weddings

What exactly is in those destination wedding packages? I got curious when I saw all of those romantic weddings on the beaches near my house. The bride and groom looked so relaxed and happy while holding hands or frolicking on the beach. I just wondered how brides and grooms go about organizing tropical weddings. It turns out that they purchase a wedding package. Just about everything is included in these packages such as a destination wedding planner, marriage officiant, marriage license, wedding venue, reception hall, and government fees.

Sep 4, Dreamy Cruise Weddings, Beautiful Honeymoon Caribbean Cruise

Cruise weddings are a wonderful alternative to the traditional church wedding. These weddings are becoming increasingly popular because they are cheaper than traditional weddings and allow the bride and groom to combine their wedding and honeymoon. On Cayman Island cruises, your options are basically to get married on the boat before starting the cruise or to get married after the ship docs in Grand Cayman. Cruise ship wedding packages vary by the amenities you choose for your special day. Some packages have a simple one hour ceremony for you and your guests, while others also include a sit-down dinner or an open bar. Of course, the more guests you invite the higher the cost.

Where should your Cayman Island wedding take place? There are lots and lots of options depending on what you want to do. If you are interested in getting married on the beach, then you might be interested in beach wedding packages. They include decorating your wedding site with colored sand, a simple white wooded arbor, or (as I've seen many times) just the natural sand and ocean. In addition, these wedding packages have the usual things like a destination wedding planner, marriage officiant, marriage license, reception hall, and government fees.

Aug 27, Marriott Resort Tropical Island Pictures

These tropical island pictures of the Marriott Resort show the front, lobby, pool area, and beach. This is one of the nicer yet accessible resorts available here in Grand Cayman. The first thing you'll see when you enter this hotel is a wonderfully decorated lobby and reception area. The style is sort of modern tropical island. As you walk through the lobby you'll pass one of the many resort restaurants. Just outdoors is a comfortable seating area right next to a pool with turtles. This area is very peaceful and shady. As you continue to the back you encounter the pool to your left and an outdoor restaurant to your right. After this is a beach and the ocean. The entire hotel and grounds are beautifully decorated and conveniently arranged.

Aug 26, Ritz Carlton Tropical Island Photos

These Tropical Island Photos of the Ritz Carlton show the front, lobby, pool area, and beach. I've been to this resort a number of times for events and lunch. This is one of the most elegantly decorated resorts on the island. There is a wonderful gallery along the sky bridge that connects the two halves of the hotel. What I like about this gallery is all the paintings are of the Cayman Islands. Some of the paintings are very modern while others aren't so polished. And yet, they all compliment each other and create a wonderful image of Cayman.

Located on the beautiful Seven Mile Beach, this resort offers a pool with a view of the ocean, four on-site restaurants, and a top rated on-site Spa.

An excursion to Stingray City is a must for a fun Caribbean family vacation. This is our most favorite of all the grand cayman activities. This attraction is basically a boat ride to a sand bar out in the middle of the ocean to feed stingrays and to snorkel.

Aug 25, Rum Point Beach for Your Best Caribbean Family Vacation

A trip to Rum Point beach will help create your best Caribbean family vacation. This beach is by far my most favorite Grand Cayman beach. It is extremely family friendly with a white sand beach and warm shallow water. You'll find beach chairs to relax by the water and a shower to rinse off the salt water. On top of all of this, they have decent food from The Wreck Bar.
